Enfinity Global for IT and OT cybersecurity

Cybersecurity, NIS2, and the international landscape: Enfinity Global chooses Mashfrog’s expertise to build an integrated and compliant security system.

Enfinity Global

In an increasingly stringent regulatory landscape, ensuring cyber resilience is not just a technical requirement but a strategic lever. With this goal in mind, Enfinity Global launched a project with the Cyber Fusion division of the Mashfrog Group to address compliance with the NIS2 Directive, the new european regulation on network and information systems security—in a structured manner. This initiative combines strategic vision, technical expertise, and an integrated approach to both IT and OT cybersecurity.

Who is Enfinity Global and what are its needs?

Enfinity Global is an international player in the renewable energy sector, engaged in the development, construction, and now also the direct management of large-scale photovoltaic plants and battery storage systems.

As it transitions from a developer to a full-fledged IPP (Independent Power Producer), the company needs to design and implement a cybersecurity system that meets European regulatory requirements. In particular, compliance with the NIS2 Directive is a crucial step for managing facilities within the European Union.

Proposed activities, project challenges, and future prospects

Mashfrog has launched a comprehensive IT and OT security analysis and assessment program, starting with the definition of policies, risk mapping, and the development of a strategic remediation plan.

One of the main challenges of the project lies in the regulatory complexity on a global scale. The NIS2 Directive applies exclusively to facilities located within the European Union. However, Enfinity Global also operates in non-EU regions—including the United States, Japan, and India—each governed by its own specific cybersecurity regulations (such as the NERC standards for the electric sector in the U.S.).

This multinational dimension requires a highly flexible and customized approach—one that can integrate different compliance requirements while still ensuring high and consistent IT and OT protection standards across all operational sites.

The project therefore has an international scope and a medium-to-long-term horizon, representing the beginning of a structured collaboration that can potentially expand over time and across multiple areas.
