Sustainability report 2024: six years of commitment to technology, people, and the environment

With the publication of its sixth Sustainability Report, Mashfrog Group reaffirms environmental, social, and economic responsibility as an essential component of its industrial strategy.

Bilancio

Mashfrog Group presents its sixth Sustainability Report, a comprehensive document that demonstrates—through data and concrete actions—the company’s commitment to pursuing a responsible, transparent, and shared growth model with all stakeholders.

Since 2019, the year its first report was published, Mashfrog has progressively transformed its focus on sustainability from a stated goal into a structural pillar of its industrial and organizational strategy. In 2024 as well, the Group achieved significant results in environmental, social, and economic areas, strengthening its position in the ICT market as a tech company committed to employee well-being, environmental protection, and value creation.

Economic sustainability. A 2024 marked by sustainable growth

The document highlights a year in which Mashfrog continued to invest in innovation, inclusion, and training. With 348 employees (+12% compared to 2023), 96% of whom are on permanent contracts, the company distributed over €25 million in economic value, allocating 67% of the total to its personnel.

Over 4,300 hours of training were provided, particularly in the areas of technology, the environment, and safety. Meanwhile, the corporate welfare system was enhanced with new benefits, including extended paternity leave and a childcare allowance.

Social sustainability. Equality, well-being, and governance

Mashfrog was once again recognized as a Top Employer Italy in 2024 and maintained its UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification with a score of 94/100. Its adherence to the “Code for companies supporting motherhood” and numerous internal and external communication campaigns are just a few examples of a people-centered organizational model.

Sustainability governance has been strengthened with a dedicated Committee responsible for integrating environmental and social objectives into the company’s strategy. The materiality analysis conducted in 2024 confirmed alignment between corporate priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Environmental sustainability. Less consumption, more awareness

2024 also marked an improvement in environmental performance. Despite the expansion of activities, energy consumption decreased by 22% compared to 2023, thanks to the move to more efficient offices and the use of renewable energy sources.

Mashfrog obtained ISO 14064 certification and updated its ISO 14001 certification, continuing to monitor and reduce its carbon footprint. Scope 2 emissions decreased by 34%, while Scope 3 emissions increased due to a higher volume of travel and broader reporting coverage—but were consistently accompanied by mitigation actions.

Projects such as FontaninAPP (for Acquedotto Pugliese), Aliapp (for Alia Servizi Ambientali), and applications for ANAS demonstrate how Mashfrog’s technology can also support the sustainability of public services and infrastructure. These digital solutions reduce environmental impact, encourage consumer responsibility and active citizenship, and promote efficiency—confirming the company’s role in the development of a “sapiens enterprise.”

Looking ahead

The 2024 Report marks a key milestone for Mashfrog: it not only concludes the first strategic cycle launched in 2019, but also opens new perspectives aligned with the goals of the UN 2030 Agenda and the challenges of digitalization and the green transition. The Group will continue to place sustainability at the heart of its business model, recognizing that innovation, ethics, and social responsibility are the keys to generating value.
