The Generative Digital Twin Project with ANAS
“ANAS’s Generative Digital Twin: Creating BIM Models from Asset Master Data” is the title of the customer success story featuring Aldo Schirripa Spagnolo, from ANAS’s Digital Asset Management team, and Giuseppe Comparetti, Managing Director of Mashfrog’s Enterprise Solution division.
The challenge involves digitizing existing infrastructure built before BIM became widely adopted, where creating individual digital models can require significant time and resources.
The project addressed this need by using asset master data already managed in SAP systems. Through data quality work in SAP Datasphere, generative algorithms, and modeling rules, the pilot produced more than 5,000 bridge information models in IFC format, an interoperable standard supported by BIM systems.
The session will explore the pilot’s results and future development opportunities: extending the approach to other types of infrastructure, integrating the models into operational processes, and potentially using AI to validate and refine the generated geometries based on field survey data. ANAS and Mashfrog share a long-standing partnership marked by innovative solutions.
M4P: A Vendor Validator AI Demo for Supplier Qualification
The second session, led by Veronica Rao, Managing Director of Mashfrog 4 Procurement (M4P), will feature a demo of one of the use cases supported by M4P, the suite of specialized AI agents that brings artificial intelligence into procurement processes: “Vendor Validator AI: Greater Control, Less Manual Work in Supplier Qualification.”
In procurement, reviewing documents and declarations means comparing information across multiple sources, checking requirements, and identifying missing or inconsistent information. Vendor Validator AI supports these activities through checks grounded in process knowledge and tailored to the regulatory and operational requirements of the Italian market.
Integrated with SAP Ariba, the solution combines SAP BTP and SAP Business AI components to analyze data and documents, extract relevant evidence, flag anomalies, and deliver structured results to support the user’s assessment.
The demo will show how this approach can dramatically reduce manual work, accelerate verification, improve consistency across checks, and make assessments more traceable.
