Mashfrog for Luiss Green Mobility
A new evolution of the Luiss app, in partnership with a.Quantum – Acea Group, to integrate the electric car-sharing service with a new fleet of 12 Renault 5 E-Tech Electrics for students, faculty, and university staff.

Mashfrog’s tech human touch is also part of the new chapter of Luiss Green Mobility—the university’s sustainable mobility project—which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025 by adding a full fleet of electric vehicles for students, faculty, and staff, in collaboration with Acea and Renault Italia.
With Mashfrog, e-mobility is just an app away
On September 16, at the Luiss Campus on Viale Romania, the new fleet of 12 Renault 5 E-Tech Electrics was officially launched for university car sharing.
Digital services management and charging will be available 24/7 directly through the Luiss App, thanks to integration with the ICT platform based on B.O.M.T.S. (Banking Operations Maintenance Telematics and Security) technology developed by a.Quantum – part of the Acea Group.
Mashfrog Group, which developed the Luiss Guido Carli University App in 2015 and has continuously supported its evolution—including the 2024 redesign—also contributed to this latest step, making the new Luiss Green Mobility service accessible to the entire university community.
The Global Customer Digital Solutions team at Mashfrog, in collaboration with Acea’s a.Quantum, developed the front-end component of the car-sharing service integrated into the Luiss app, enabling faculty, students, and university staff to book vehicles, start rentals, and monitor each step of the process.
Sustainable mobility beyond car sharing
The new chapter of Luiss Green Mobility, launched during European Mobility Week, is another step in the university’s broader commitment to high-impact initiatives for environmental protection. It demonstrates how collaboration between universities and businesses can create value not only for those who live on campus every day but also for the urban development of the surrounding area.
Alongside the electric Car Sharing, LUISS already offers a shuttle service with electric and gas-powered minibuses that connect the Via Parenzo and Viale Romania campuses free of charge. The university also provides electric vehicle charging stations on campus, with 100% of the electricity used coming from renewable sources.
This year, the Green Mobility project has been further enriched by two new initiatives made possible through the partnership with Acea: a study on optimizing energy consumption and the launch of energy flexibility across university campuses—further strengthening Luiss’s role as a sustainable innovation lab.
