A Double Win for Mashfrog at the SAP Quality Awards 2026!
The projects delivered with FiberCop and Laminazione Sottile earned two awards recognizing Mashfrog’s ability to apply AI to business processes and SAP project delivery.
Two projects, two awards, one achievement to celebrate. At SAP NOW AI Tour 2026 in Milan, Mashfrog Group received two SAP Quality Awards 2026 Italy for the projects delivered with FiberCop, in the “Build Your Own Agent” category, and Laminazione Sottile, in the “Agent led implementation” category.
The awards ceremony took place on October 14 at Superstudio Maxi in Milan, during the closing plenary of SAP NOW AI Tour. It marked the culmination of Mashfrog’s participation in the event as a Platinum Sponsor.
The two awards recognize complementary applications of artificial intelligence: in the FiberCop project, AI supports the automation of a high-volume operational process; in the Laminazione Sottile project, it helps make analysis and implementation more efficient.
FiberCop: Using AI to Automate Invoice Processing
The AP Invoice Suite project, delivered with FiberCop, was a winner in the “Build Your Own Agent” category, dedicated to the development of custom agents on the SAP platform.
The solution addressed a concrete challenge: automating accounts payable invoice processing in an organization handling approximately 30,000 invoices per month. Built on SAP Business Technology Platform and integrated with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, it used AI to extract data from documents and feed it into a governed validation and accounting workflow.
Checks take place before invoices are posted, while exceptions are routed to users for review. This allows people to focus on the cases that require their attention.
Measurements from the first month of use showed a 52% reduction in manual effort per invoice and a 75% automated posting rate: early results from an approach that combines efficiency, control, and traceability.
Laminazione Sottile: Using AI to Improve Project Delivery
The project with Laminazione Sottile was a winner in the “Agent led implementation” category, which recognizes initiatives where AI has improved the efficiency of project delivery.
Mashfrog supported the company in modernizing its data warehouse, moving from a Microsoft SQL Server architecture to SAP Datasphere, without disrupting the availability of the 60 Power BI reports already in use.
A distinguishing feature was the use of an AI-powered discovery accelerator developed in-house by Mashfrog. The tool supported source analysis and the identification of the most suitable standard SAP objects to replace existing structures, accelerating mapping while retaining expert validation of every result.
The project also eliminated approximately 90 legacy custom objects, simplifying the architecture and creating a stronger data foundation for future analytics and AI developments.
A Journey of Growth and Innovation
The two awards in 2026 build on an already recognized track record: in 2025, Mashfrog Group won the SAP Quality Award with SmartInboundAI, the solution applied to MD’s goods receipt process to automate the reading of delivery notes and data validation in SAP.
